Save the date! On Saturday, January 10th, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the CF&I Archives will be open to students who are conducting research for National History Day projects. Students will be given free admission to the Steelworks Museum on that day!
The Steelworks Archives collection contains primary source material such as documents, photographs, and publications, maps, drawings, and financial ledgers. Some possible National History Day research areas include: industrialization, mining, steelmaking, labor relations, gender studies, corporate history, immigration to the American West, industrial medicine, and much more! Visit the Steelworks Center of the West website to browse the collection.
Also, two special prizes of $50 each will be awarded during the competition on February 28th, 2015, for projects that best utilize the Steelworks Archives!
